Progressive stayer and early running colt join the stable
STAR WITNESS X ROCK CATHEDRAL COLT
Viva Racing is delighted to have purchased a quality colt at the recent Melbourne Premier yearling sale Star Witness x Rock Cathedral.
The colt is very forward, strong and looks like an early running sprinter who won’t take much time to hit the ground.
Colt will be trained by Matthew Dunn at Murwillumbah/Warwick Farm.
Sire Star Witness is a consistent stallion who produces Group winners year after year including Star Turn, Global Glamour, Fuhryk, Aim and Graff.
Dam Rock Cathedral is by Octagonal and is a half sister to stakes winner Happy Gladiator who won 10 races during his career including 7 straight. Group winners Will Fly, Sanziro and Flying Object are also in the family.
Rock Cathedral has had two foals to race and both are winners.
Matthew Dunn trainers half brother Quatum who has plenty of ability but hasn’t reach the lofty heights on the racetrack as yet. He was a metro winner at his first start at Warwick Farm and has won a few barrier trials by a space.
Star Witness x Rock Cathedral Colt is currently being broken in and expected to arrive at the Dunn stables in the next fortnight.
Share price approximately $2375 for 2.5%, $4750 per 5% and $9500 for 10% subject to final PDS approval.
Costs include purchase price, bloodstock/compliance costs, sales costs, breaking in, agistment costs, Inglis race series nomination, BOBS registration, insurance and other costs until 1 May 2021.

DIVINE ELEVEN
Lightly raced and progressive stayer Divine Eleven has joined the Viva Racing stable.
The 4 year old has had a win and four placings from only 13 career starts. He was originally purchased with the aim of qualifying to go to Hong Kong, however was just off the pace in the strong metro racing in Sydney last preparation.
Divine Eleven was purchased on the recommendation of existing trainer Matthew Dunn who will continue training the gelding next preparation out of his Murwillumbah base.
Plan is to target Brisbane Metropolitan racing where Divine Eleven has the scope to progress through Class 3 races over a shorter trip, before racing over further ground (1600 to 2200 meters) as his campaign unfolds.
We make no secret that the weakest metropolitan races in the country are staying races in Brisbane. Divine Eleven can win at least two City races in the next few preparations over a trip.
Our most recent staying purchase Quality Approach won a metro race at only start two for the new ownership group and we believe Divine Eleven is a little more progressive than him being a year young with a lower benchmark rating.
Divine Eleven has had a nice spell since his last run at Cantebury and just returned to full work at Matthew Dunn's training base at Murwillumbah.
Great opportunity for owners to buy into a metropolitan quality horse.
Costs anticipated to be $3,475 per 5% or $6,950 per 10% which includes purchase price, transport, spelling and all other related costs until 10 March 2021
