Quality Approach all quality at Eagle Farm

Viva Racing's Quality Approach proved too classy for his rivals at Eagle Farm on Saturday winning the benchmark 78 race over 1600 meters.

Given a soft run by jockey James Orman, Quality Approach waited for the gap to appear in the straight and was too strong for his opposition late.

A tried horse purchase by Viva Racing out of Melbourne, Quality Approach delighted his big bunch of supporters winning at metropolitan level at only start two for the new ownership group.

Most pleasing is that Quality Approach wasn’t fully wound up and will take great benefit from the win with a huge preparation in front of him as he steps up in trip further.

Sweeping the Board dominant winner at Murwillumbah

Sweeping the Board registered his first win of the preparation with a dominant effort on his home track at Murwillumbah. Plagued by no luck and bad barriers throughout the campaign to date, Sweeping the Board finally drew a decent gate and was an easy watch in running.

The good-looking gelding has shown great promise throughout his preparation and we expect him to go on with things now and measure up at Brisbane metropolitan level.

Impressive Season Stats

Last week’s winning double continues the strong season for the Viva Racing stable with 8 winners and 24 placings (50% place strike rate) from 48 starters this season. This has included two metropolitan wins and a Group 3 placing over the period.

Our remarkable record of 90% runners to winners strikerate is one of the best in the business for a boutique syndication company.

In addition, our last 12 tried horse purchases have resulted in 10 different winners with Acumen due to make it 11 winners very shortly.

Ladies only syndicate

Vancouver x Ocean Bridge Colt

Our first yearling purchase of 2021 is a nice moving colt by Golden Slipper winner Vancouver out of stakes performed mare in Ocean Bridge.

Dam Ocean Bridge was a terrific racehorse in her own right, beaten less than a length in the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate.

At stud Ocean Bridge has been a noted producer of quality gallopers highlighted by Longport who won the Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes and was a dual Group 1 runner up in the Vinery and Flight Stakes.

The highly talented Run for Wilson was also in the family. He was a dominate Listed Stakes winner on debut before injury cut his career short.

Colt will be a “Ladies Only” syndicate where we will chase the lucrative $500,000 bonuses at Magic Millions in 2022 and 2023.

He has been popular with our database and only 40% remains.

Costs inclusive of GST are $2,375 per 2.5%, $4,750 per 5% share or $9,500 per 10% (purchase price, bloodstock/compliance costs, sales costs, breaking in, agistment costs, Magic Millions race series nomination, BOBS registration, insurance and other costs)
